How can we help?

From your first pairing to finding your comfortable pace. A little help getting closer to your TV.

Connect for the first time

  1. Turn on your TV and connect it and your iPhone to the same home Wi-Fi.
  2. Open Still, choose Find my TV and allow Local Network access.
  3. Select your TV. If it is not listed, find its IP address in the TV's network settings and enter it manually.
  4. Enter the six-character pairing code displayed on the TV, then choose Pair with TV.

You do not need an account or Developer options for normal remote control.

Which TVs work?

Still requires Android TV or Google TV with Android TV Remote Service enabled and up to date. It has been tested with MiTV-AXSO2. Compatibility and individual commands can vary by TV and connected audio equipment. Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Roku and Apple TV are not supported. Still requires iOS 17 or later.

My TV does not appear or connect

Keep the TV awake and check that both devices use the same network. Guest Wi-Fi, network isolation or a VPN can prevent local connections. Allow Still's Local Network access in iPhone Settings, then search again. Manual IP entry also requires this permission. Check the TV's current address if your router has changed it.

If a code expires or is rejected, request a new code. Tap the room name to open connection options and re-pair if the TV's permissions were reset. Never enter your Wi-Fi password as the TV pairing code.

Use the remote

Buttons mode provides directions and OK. Hold an arrow or volume button to repeat. Joystick mode lets you drag to navigate and tap its thumb for OK. Remote settings offers sensitivity adjustment and an optional two-column joystick layout. Back, Home, Play/Pause, Mute and volume remain available in both modes.

Power sends a standard power-button command, usually toggling standby. If the TV disconnects from Wi-Fi while asleep, use its physical remote to wake it. Playback and volume behavior depend on the active app, TV and audio output. Voice input is unavailable in this release.

Optional Advanced TV settings

Tap the room name, then Advanced TV settings. Follow the guide only if your TV supports legacy network debugging. TVs offering only wireless debugging with a pairing code are not supported by Advanced settings; use their Settings menus instead. The ordinary remote can still work.

After you authorize Still on the TV, it can read settings, RAM and storage. You can adjust animations, screensaver, sleep/display timeouts, restore recorded previous values, and request a restart. Every change and restart needs confirmation. Restart becomes available at least 30 seconds after a recorded change and interrupts viewing.

Use debugging only on trusted Wi-Fi; this connection is unencrypted. Close Advanced settings to disconnect. Turn debugging off or revoke authorization on the TV when finished. Do not expose debugging to the internet. Disabling a screensaver may leave a static image visible; playback and TV software may override timeout settings. RAM readings fluctuate and do not measure speed improvements.

Still does not uninstall/disable TV apps or install a replacement Home screen.

Forget or change a TV

Open the room menu, choose TV details, then Forget TV. This removes the saved remote selection and its pairing pin on this iPhone. Preferences and Advanced history remain. It does not reset the TV or revoke its separate debugging authorization. You can then pair again or connect another TV.
